The last games of the 2023/2024 season were played on 18th/19th May 2024 and Beechy Under 12's Thunder could earn themselves promotion after finishing in joint second place in Division 4 in the Salford and Districts League.

*The Under 12's THUNDER (9v9)had an early morning trip for their away game with Wythenshawe Celtic Milan. Despite missing a couple of key players Beechy were superb as they controlled the game from start to finish while restricting their opponents to only a few chances. Thunder took the lead when Ajab Fakeeh lobbed the ball over the hosts keeper and in the second half Ajab took his tally for the season to 30 goals with a brilliant finish into the bottom corner of the net to secure Beechy a fully deserved 2-0 victory.

*Continuing their impressive winning run were Beechy Under 11's TORNADOES (9v9) who ended the season with victory over Parkwyddn Predators. In the Blue Group the Tornadoes were two goals down at one stage but they fought back and goals from Zack MacKinnon (hat-trick) Lynott Cassidy and Lucio Riva guaranteed Beechy the win. Luke Bennett, Ralph Phillips and Lucio provided the assists for the goals.

*Beechy Under 10's TORNADOES who played their last ever 7-a-side game were looking to end the season on a high following an impressive performance seven days earlier. In the Green Group the Tornadoes started well against Winton Wolverines and forced a couple of early corners. Eventually Beechy broke the deadlock when Denholm Brookes scored with a candidate for goal of the season when his superb lofted strike from about twenty five yards flew over the head of the Winton keeper and into the roof of the net. Shortly after the Tornadoes doubled their lead when leading marksman Denholm Brookes was on target again but Winton were never out of the game and they pulled a goal back then just before half the visitors to Beech Farm equalised. Spurred on by their comeback Winton took the lead midway through the second half with a controversial goal. Soon after the Tornadoes conceded a fourth goal but the rallied superbly and reduced the arrears thanks to Denholm Brookes who completed his hat-trick (his 3rd of the season) Beechy gave everything to try and find an equaliser and both Harry Myddleton and Denholm went close late on. Denholm Brookes was named Man of the Match but special mentions go to the Tornadoes three stand-in goalkeepers Ralph Theaker, Reuben McCormick and Jayden Lowe who gave solid displays.

*Also in action at Beech Farm were the Under 10's LIGHTNING who met Stretford Victoria Albion. Against the run of play Stretford took the lead after five minutes though Lightning got a quick equaliser via Austin Fillingham. Stretford regained the lead but from that moment Beechy totally dominated this Green Group game. Lightning missed a penalty plus eight one-on-ones with the visitors keeper while efforts hit both post and crossbar. Despite the defeat Beechy Manager James Fillingham said after the game he was very proud of his teams performance.

*Alfie Heighway scored both goals one from the penalty spot as the Under 9's STORM completed their Salford and District League Red Group fixtures with victory over Parkwyddn Predators. Oscar Pugh supplied an assist for one of the goals. On Saturday 25th May Storm play Monton Sports FC in the final of the Challenge Tournament.

*Playing their last development fixture of the season before their move to 7v7 Beechy Under 8's THUNDER met Ordsall Junior Cubs away in the Red Group. The bright sunny day and relaxed atmosphere between the teams made it feel like a friendly match. Not long after kick-off Ordsall took the lead but Thunder equalised via Antonio Embalo who scored from close range. The Ordsall goalkeeper made some great saves but two first half goals from Close Sixsmith put Beechy in a comfortable position. The second half included some brilliant saves from Thunder goalkeeper Grayson Owen plus Oscar Spencer heading clear from corners five times in a row something the team will need to eradicate in line with next seasons rule changes. George Kelly added Beechy's fourth goal when he curled the ball into the net off the far post. Man of the Match was Harry Wright for a great all-round display.

*At home to promotion chasing Parkwyddn Predators the Under 14's TORNADOES played their final league match of the season. Despite taking an early lead through Oscar Mather poor tactical discipline cost the Tornadoes dearly as they conceded five goals. Finn Browne salvaged a modicum of respectability taking advantage of a poor keeper clearance to score Beechy's second goal following some good pressure from Sonny Bennett.
