- Junior Section Match Details 4th/5th Nov 2017
Missing a few key players due to injury Beechfield United Under 17's Tornadoes were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Ringley Park Rangers. Currently Beechy hold a four point lead at the top of the Section B table but they have played a couple of more games than their nearest rivals. In this Bolton Bury and District League fixture the Tornadoes were the better team but missed far too many chances. Beechy took the lead through Bailey Sullivan but Ringley Park Rangers fought back and equalised. Troy Walker found the net to put United back in front but once again the visitors replied when they drew level. There were chances for Mason White, Taylor Schofield and Louis Lawrence to secure the Tornadoes a deserved victory.
The Under 16's Storm faced their third successive away game in the Salford and District League. In Division 1 Beechy travelled again to meet Lymm Piranhas and successfully collected all three points thanks to a 3-2 victory. Goal scorers for the Storm were Joe Cox, Tyler Davies and Man of the Match Mike Waklasti.
Also in action against a Lymm Piranhas outfit were Beechy Under 13's Storm who returned to winning ways via an emphatic 8-0 win. On target for United who could easily have hit double figures in this Division 1 fixture were Damion Broughton (Hat-Trick) Luke Carr, Adam Rothwell, Finley Share, Ben Howard and Bailey Lloyd. Voted Best Player was Tom Cox.
At home to Stretford Victoria the Under 13's Thunder were not at their best in the early stages and struggled to get into this Division 2 game. It was the visitors who took the lead but Beechy gradually found some momentum and were rewarded with an equaliser. Stretford Victoria led 1-0/2-1/3-2/4-3/5-4 but each time showing great character the Thunder always levelled the score. It finished 5-5 with Prince Idusuyi (4) and Jake O'Sullivan scoring the goals. There was no Man of the Match Award.
Still looking for their first win of the season are the Under 13's Tornadoes who had a tough away fixture against Flixton Junior Hawks. Just ten players were available while the opposition played with eleven plus four substitutes. Alan Kay scored both goals for the Tornadoes who lost 7-2 but the Beechy lads never let their heads drop in a hardworking all-round display.
In their Division 1 away game with Flixton Junior Pumas the Under 12's Storm (9v9) led 1-0 and 2-1 and looked on course for victory but the home team equalised with just five minutes remaining. On target for Beechy were Man of the Match Tawonga Chirwa and Jason Okili.
The in-form Under 12's Tornadoes (9v9) made it three wins on the trot following their 4-0 away win at Fives Athletic. Leading marksman Bradley Oliver, Alex Effio, Adam Wood and Charlie Mulvenna fired in the goals. The league table has yet to be updated but currently the Tornadoes occupy second place in Division 2 on goal difference.
Despite going behind twice in the Friendly Match with Barr Hill the Under 11's Storm (9v9) maintained their 100% start to the season. The goals came via Man of the Match Freddie Jackson, Georgi Georgiev, Harry Backhouse and Caden Gibson who scored twice with one goal coming from a superb lob over the keeper. Despite the difficult conditions both teams played some great football and Beechy's passing was a delight to watch.
Beechy Under 11's Typhoon (9v9) organised a Friendly Match against local rivals Moorside Rangers Green who started the stronger of the two teams and managed to get an early goal. United didn't settle into the game and struggled as they were forced to do some heavy defending. The second half developed a similar pattern and Beechy had a valid claim for a penalty waved away. Rangers kept the pressure on United and added a few more goals before the final whistle. Voted Best Player was Harry Davies.
The previously postponed Development Group Red Division fixture Beechfield United Under 10's Tornadoes and De La Salle Reds went ahead on Saturday morning at Beech Farm and it was the visitors who won this 7v7 mini-soccer contest. Owen Hogben got the Tornadoes consolation goal and Aiden Lawton was named Man of the Match.
There was a Friendly Match between the Under 10's Storm and Beechy's newest team the Under 10's Hurricanes. Joshua Kilfoyle, Saul Tagoe and Oliver Cowley got the goals for the Storm who came out on top in the game that include six goals. Details of the Hurricanes list of players and goal scorer to follow.
Anthony Hughes netted a consolation goal for the Under 9's Tornadoes in their Friendly Match against Flixton Juniors. It was a close game when the teams shared two goals but Flixton Juniors managed to find another two goals to seal victory. Matty Cox received the Tornadoes Man of the Match Award.
United's Under 8's Storm and Under 8's Tornadoes were involved in an highly entertaining Friendly Match. There was some great soccer plus good passing and movement off the ball from both teams in a game that ended with a win for the Storm. Two goals from Man of the Match Ronnie Pinckney-Thompson and Frankie Carter plus one by Harry Whitter made up the Storm's tally. For the Tornadoes Alfie Lacey and Daire Cox netted a goal apiece with Dylan Courtney getting the Star Player Award. Oliver Wood who was the Tornadoes Goalkeeper in the first half produced a brilliant display.
Playing at home were the Under 7's Storm who's opponents in the Development Group Blue Division were Monton Sports Tigers. Man of the Match Beck Baxter, Reuben Wardle and Harry Wallis scored the goals as Beechy re-discovered the winning formula.
The Under 8's Lightning, Under 9's Hurricanes, Under 11's Lightning, Under 14's Tornadoes had no fixture. The Under 15's Tornadoes match was postponed.
