Storm set up this game with only five players in the squad so plenty of game time all around - Alfie started in net, Imad and Fred in defence with Henry & Caleb on the wing.
Beechy immediately took control of the game with Fred bursting through hitting it wide. First goal came in the way of Caleb where Henry finding joy on the left crossed and found his man. Fred stormed through hitting the post & shortly after took a well worked corner from Henry passing through to Imad who finished a deflected shot.
Henry who tormented the defence in the first half found yet another ping point pass which this time was finished by Fred!
Following a frantic attack Beechy started to settle in - Imad and Caleb both stuck pearlers from distance hitting the bar.
From a kick off Caleb showed the sharpest reactions winning the ball and placing it past the goal keeper. There was a couple of chances with one well reacted by Alfie cutting a cross shot out though Flixton had their goal from an on target corner.
The second half transpired as barrage of goals for the visitors - Henry dubbed the “assist machine” by his team mates created a further 3 assists to add to his two in the first half, Fred scoring a fantastic volley, Caleb became a fox in the box adding a further two from poaches from Imad & Henrys corners as well as adding three assists while Imad piled in an eye watering seven goals.
The home side did get a couple as they piled players forward, a good save from Alf was not quite covered while having only half a glove on Flixton scored past the man in net. A couple of good saves though one real stand out save as the home striker hit a hard shot which was well saved by Alfie.
Pleasing part was the amount of training ground goals with many from well worked crosses or corners from Storm - all three usual attackers taking stints in defence alongside Fred, only three individual goals with the rest being created by the team!
MOTM:
Team had voted as usual and pretty everyone received one vote. *Henry* took a shared Man of the Match for some unbelievable creative work had a hand in the first four goals with *Imad* taking the second half with a glut of goals as well as a couple assists.
