Beechfield United's 1st Team met Chapel Town for the second time in three weeks and seeking to achieve a quick winning double did it in style via a 6-0 victory. Before this Manchester Football League fixture Beechy who held top spot in the Division 1 table had a three point lead over the visitors to Salford Sports Village. After only three minutes there was a lengthy stoppage following a facial injury to Kurtis Lee who was immediately replaced by Jordan Jones-Waite. When play resumed Chris Ferris, Jamie Sinnott and Craig Massey were involved in a swift counter-attack but the latter fired the ball straight at the keeper. Chapel Town's No9 came close to opening the scoring but the ball deflected off a Beechy player and behind for a corner. The visitors briefly kept the pressure on United but on twelve minutes Beechy took the lead when a move developed down the right flank and after easily turning past a Chapel defender Jordan Jones-Waite calmly slotted the ball past the keeper.

Twice in quick succession Tim Taylor produced vital headed clearances as Chapel Town continued to find a few gaps in United's rearguard but overall Beechy's players worked hard all over the pitch in this competitive top of the table encounter. A cleverly disguised pass by Jamie Sinnott set-up a chance for Jordan Jones Waite who saw his effort rebound off the keeper's outstretched leg. United keeper Robert Harrison was rarely troubled in the opening twenty five minutes but he was called into action on one occasion confidently dealing with a shot on target from Chapel Town's No9 who had beaten the offside trap. Tom Allcock who was making his first full start of the season combined superbly with Jamie Sinnott who punished an error by a Chapel defender and hammered the ball across the keeper for 2-0 after thirty five minutes. The visitors responded in a positive manner and forced numerous free kicks but United's defensive trio of Mike Rogerson, Tim Taylor and Luke Johnston were happy to soak up any pressure.

There was a terrific move between Craig Massey and Jamie Sinnott who's through ball was controlled by Jordan Jones-Waite and the Beechy striker's first time effort forced a great save from the overworked Chapel keeper. A couple of minutes before the break Beechy added their third goal when Jordan Jones-Waite won possession following a poor kick-out by the visitors keeper and his cross field pass was perfect for Jamie Sinnott to easily angle the ball into the corner of the net. There was a lively start to the second half and Chapel Town were quickly on the attack briefly forcing some significant defending from United. But once Beechy found a better rhythm they began to create chances and a great pass by Chris Ferris found Jordan Jones-Waite who's snap shot forced a corner. Chapel Town won two successive corners but Luke Johnston and Tim Taylor confidently got the ball out of the danger zone. Then Mike Rogerson was forced to concede a corner and from the visitors flag kick United launched another counter-attack and after racing clear Jamie Sinnott completed his hat-trick for 4-0. Tom Allcock who had an excellent game was replaced by Louis Duff and he was soon involved in his role as right wing back.

Luke Johnston's accurate ball downfield found Carl Ravenscroft and he set-up Jordan Jones-Waite with another decent chance. In an effort to try and break United's stranglehold on the match Chapel Town made a couple of changes but Beechy continued to dictate the pace of the game. The fifth goal arrived in the 72nd minute when Jamie Sinnott's in-swinging corner hit a Chapel Town defender and the ball flew into the net. Still playing some good attacking football the visitors forced a couple of smart saves from Robert Harrison this being followed by another piece of ace defending by Mike Rogerson. At the end of a brilliant move involving Craig Massey, Chris Ferris and Jordan Jones-Waite the Chapel Town keeper made another top-class save. On 81 minutes substitute Andrzej Browne started the move that led to goal number six scored by Jordan Jones-Waite who completed the scoring following a perfectly weighted long ball from Man of the Match Jamie Sinnott.
