Also in action in the Bolton Bury and District League United's Under 15's Tornadoes returned to winning ways following a 6-3 away victory against Aspull Junior Lions. In Section D Beechy scored some first-class goals during an impressive all-round display. On target were Player of the Match Jack Broadie (4) Harry Fletcher and Joe Eckersley.
In the Timperley and District League the Under 15's Sunday team produced a brilliant comeback in their Division 4 away game with St Johns Chorlton. Ellis Kenny's goal gave Beechy a 1-0 half time lead but United endured a bad period early in the second half when they conceded three goals. Displaying all their recovery powers Beechy fought back and two goals by Man of the Match Billy Wadeson and one from Mathew Bennett earned United a stunning 4-3 victory.
The Under 14's Thunder were away to Middleton Lads for their latest North Bury Junior League Championship Division game. On a tight pitch Beechy started the stronger of the two teams but they failed to create enough chances in the first half. The second half was more evenly balanced and it was Middleton Lads who broke the deadlock with a well taken goal. Suddenly Thunder had to soak up some sustained pressure and they conceded a penalty that resulted in the hosts adding their second goal. Keeping the pressure on United, Middleton Lads could have scored a few more goals but for the heroics of Thunder's goalkeeper and Man of the Match Reiss Miller. Final score Middleton Lads 2 v Beechfield United Thunder 0
There was a second win of the season in the Bolton Bury and District League for Beechy Under 13's Storm who travelled to play Adlington Vipers in the Players Cup. Thanks to a 1-0 victory Beechy were guaranteed a place in the next round of the competition and having just ten players throughout the match made Storm's win even more impressive. Making a solid start Beechy quickly put pressure on their opponents moving the ball with style from the back but lacking the killer touch in front of goal. But eventually the Storm made the breakthrough when Man of the Match Ben Delaney scored what proved to be the match winning goal from a corner. Beechy continued to control the game as the second half unfolded and kept creating chances that saw Davelle Glasier, Tawab Ogunleye and David Bondy all going close to getting the Storm another goal. Beechy battled bravely and showed great team spirit as they worked hard to deny Adlington Vipers a late equalising goal.
Celebrating their first victory of the season were the Under 13's Tornadoes. There was an excellent all-round performance from the joyous Beechy boys who hit double figures in their 10-0 Division 2 away win at Barr Hill Clubs. Man of the Match was Justin Suele who's overall display included some superb attacking play, plus real strength and great attitude. Goals for the Tornadoes came courtesy of Justin Suele (4) Rafael Silviera (2) Charlie Mulvenna, Bradley Oliver, Theo Valentine (penalty) and Alex Effio. Working on the players fitness level in training sessions certainly paid dividends in this match.
Following an excellent battling performance the Under 12's Typhoon (9v9) earned their first point of the season following their Division 2 away game with Barr Hill Clubs which was a thrilling end to end contest. Jamie Withington scored both goals for the Typhoon and only a tight offside decision stopped Daniel Hesketh celebrating a late Beechy winning goal. Goalkeeper Peter Ellis who made some brilliant saves was Man of the Match.
Involved in a hard fought score draw were the Under 12's Storm (9v9) Away at De La Salle Rangers in Division 1 Beechy created an abundance of chances but due to a combination of good goalkeeping and poor finishing Storm were unable to win the game. Midway through the first half due to an injury Josh McLoughlin took on the role of goalkeeper. It remained goalless at the break but in the second half it was De La Salle who took the lead through an own goal but Beechy rallied superbly and following a poor clearance by the De La Salle keeper George Heywood scored the Storm's deserved equaliser. Reece James was Man of the Match.
There was a first win of the season for the Under 12's Lightning (9v9) after their Division 3 away game against Deans Panthers. Thanks to an accomplished team display and goals from Daniel Williams (hat-trick) Man of the Match Kyle Stafford (2) David Olidoy and Jake Barrington Beechy won the game 7-2.
Producing another highly impressive performance were Beechy Under 11's Tornadoes who were at home to Ellesmere Park Lions. Salford Sports Village was the venue and on target for the Tornadoes in this Blue Group match were Finley Fairhurst, Oliver Percival, Sam Rowbottom and Joel Thorndyke. The teams Star Player was Charlie Chute.
In the Under 10's Green Group Beechy Lightning had a second successive Sunday fixture. Playing away at South Manchester Lions, Beechy lost the match but the result could easily have been reversed had Lightning taken most of the chances they created. The whole team were excellent including a Man of the Match performance from Sean Cosgrove plus special mention goes to new goalkeeper Jake Lewis who was very impressive on his debut. Full squad for the game: Jai Devani-White (captain) Charlie Bell, Charlie Green, Sean Cosgrove, Nicholas Ainscough, Matthew Elliott, Jake Lewis.
Thanks to another star studded display the Under 10's Hurricanes extended their unbeaten run in the Salford and Districts League to four games. Beechy had a full strength squad available for their Yellow Group away fixture with Winton Ospreys and despite having to deal with a poor playing surface the Hurricanes rattled in five goals and kept a clean sheet in a comfortable win. Goals for Beechy came via Daniel Robinson, Alfie Rostron and Henry Errington plus an own goal.
Ladybridge FC provided the opposition for a Friendly Match with Beechy Under 10's Tornadoes. Trying the players in different positions didn't really work according to Manager Mark Rowbotham. Oliver Nangle scored Beechy's only goal and because the visitors to Beech Farm were short of players Ebosele Oguname volunteered to play for Ladybridge.
Despite a solid all-round team effort the Under 9's Tornadoes lost their Green Group away fixture with Flixton Junior Wildcats. The first half was evenly balanced and the Wildcats took the lead but Beechy equalised through Josh Beddows though Flixton Juniors added another goal to forge ahead at the break. A couple of outstanding saves by the Wildcats keeper denied Beechy further goals while the hosts netted two more goals that gave them a comfortable lead. But the Beechy boys showed great character and produced a strong finish with Logan McFeely who was named Man of the Match firing home a second goal for the Tornadoes.
Some quality football was played in the Under 9's Lightning versus Parkwyddn Phoenix Yellow Group game and every one of the Beechy lads were credited with a fantastic display but unfortunately United lost the match. Player of the Match was Kyle Tandy while Oscar Mather was on target with Lightning's consolation goal.
How the Under 8's Storm didn't manage to score just one goal in their Blue Group away game with De La Salle Rangers remains a mystery. Connor O'Sullivan came closest on a few occasions to finding a way to beat the De La Salle keeper. Throughout the match Beechy played the more attractive football while De La Salle relied heavily on the long ball tactic.
Man of the Match Oliver Cooper helped himself to a hat-trick in the Under 7's Division 1 away clash with Winton Wanderers Titans. Seven days earlier Beechy were at home to Salford United Juniors and in that game Thomas Brady netted a hat-trick and Aiden Gradwell was voted the teams Star Player.
