Beechfield United's new team the Under 7's Storm played their first official game in the Salford and District League. At home to neighbours Moorside Rangers Yellow in the Development Group Blue Division the Storm made a winning start to the season. Harry Wallis helped himself to five goals plus there was a goal apiece for Callum Norris and Player of the Match Nathan Kay. The teams full squad was: Reuben Wardle, Harry Wallis, Connor O'Sullivan, Callum Norris, Nathan Kay, Alfie Roddy, Charlie Pugh, Ryden McHale and Beck Baxter.
Thanks to goals from Tom Gorton (2) and Fabian Yanny Beechfield United Under 16's Storm who remain unbeaten so far this season were 3-0 winners over De La Salle Devils and moved up to second place in the Division 1 table. Following this Salford and District League fixture Nathan Green was named the Storm's Man of the Match.
In their Bolton Bury and District League Section E away game with Ringley Park Rangers the Under 14's Tornadoes shared a 0-0 score line at the break. But following a lively second half that produced a glut of goals it was Ringley Park who secured the three points via a 5-1 victory. The Tornadoes consolation goal was scored by Fernley Davies and voted Man of the Match was Max O'Brien.
The in-house derby match between Beechy Thunder and Tornadoes included some nice football from both teams. At the final whistle it was the Thunder who came out on top courtesy of a 7-2 victory. Taonga Mututa was Man of the Match and goalscorers for Thunder were Prince Idusuyi (Hat-Trick) Jake O'Sullivan (2) Jake Glass and Jacob Lacey. Replying for the Tornadoes was Alan Kay who scored both goals and it was his team mate Brandon Wabayi who received the Man of the Match honour.
The Under 12's Tornadoes (9v9) had a second successive away fixture in the Salford and District League. This weekend Beechy were back in action with a Division 2 away game against Salford United Reds. Bradley Oliver netted a consolation goal for the Tornadoes and goalkeeper Lewis Wallis saved a penalty. Man of the Match Award went to Jacob Sayburn.
Involved in a high scoring Division 1 fixture were the Under 12's Storm (9v9) who were at home to Sale United. In the second half the teams scored a total of eleven goals between them. Tawonga Chirwa was Man of the Match and on target with goals for Beechy were Jake Manion (2) Oliver Lawton and Ben Delaney.
At home to Deans Youth Panthers in the Development Group Yellow Division were United's Under 11's Lightning (9v9) This match included ten goals with Man of the Match Robert Harris (2) and David Olidoy firing home the goals for Beechy.
Producing another brilliant all-round display were the Under 11's Storm (9v9) who met Stretford Victoria away in the Development Group Red Division. The Storm who have hit a rich vein of form once again netted a deluge of goals and ran out comfortable winners. Caden Gibson (now 8 in two games) Sonny O'Brien (Hat-Trick) Freddie Jackson, Fletcher Jackson, Alfie Gee and Reilly Happy were Beechy's goalscorers and named Best Player was Reece James.
At a rain soaked Beech Farm Playing Fields the Under 11's Typhoon (9v9) outclassed opponents Cadishead Town in the Development Group Blue Division. In a one sided contest there were Hat-Tricks for Man of the Match Charlie Harris, Harley Bentley and Cole Winstanley. Goalkeeper Peter Ellis who played in an unaccustomed outfield position also got on the score sheet.
At home to Barr Hill Diamonds the Under 10's Tornadoes enjoyed a greater share of the ball in the first half of this Development Group Red Division match. Beechy scored several goals via some very good counter-attacking football and though Barr Hill played better in the second period the Tornadoes defended superbly. Joel Thorndyke was voted the teams Star Player and goals for Beechy were scored by Ellie O'Brien-Walsh, Finley Fairhurst and Edward Hughes.
Both Under 9's teams had home games in their respective divisions. The Under 9's Hurricanes met Barr Hill Cubs and the match finished as a score draw with the teams sharing four goals. Man of the Match Alfie Latham with his first league goal and Lexi Hiles were on target in the Development Group Yellow Division.
Following a disappointing first half the Under 9's Tornadoes found themselves four goals down in their Development Group Blue Division fixture against Parkwyddn JFC. But the Tornadoes produced a terrific fightback and goals from Anthony Hughes (2) and Ethan Harris reduced the arrears to just one. Pushing hard for an equaliser the Tornadoes were caught out by a quick break from Parkwyddn who scored a fifth goal. George Rowbotham was Man of the Match.
Leading goalscorer Daire Cox was among the goals again in the Under 8's Tornadoes Development Group Blue Division game with Urmston Town Storm who won a twelve goal thriller. Other goals for the Tornadoes came from Jack McMinn, Alfie Lacey and Stewart Kay.
