Beechy STORM continued their winning run against Stretford playing at Salford Star.
Storm started the fastest with Henry skipping past a couple of players, darting down the wing & with a pinpoint pass picked out James who blazed over. Couple more chances came in the way of Caleb whose tenacious work upfront caused mayhem at the back with two shots taken and flashed wide.
In almost identical fashion to first chance the deadlock was broken. Henry dribbling down the left wing, beat two players and picked James out again who made no mistake this time.
Following this Beechy struggled to get hold of the match and it became very even - Stretford had a couple of chances & they got their goal. From a kick in an unmarked Stretford striker powered it past Alfie in goal!
Beechy struggled to respond and it needed a moment of magic by captain for the day James who scored a sublime free kick yards from the half way line curling it into the top right corner. Shortly before the half Imad and Caleb powering through and Caleb’s effort pinballed deflecting off Imad into the net.
In the second half Alfie playing outfield had a host of chances with a scuffed shot easily covered by the goal keeper and from that the ball went straight up the field. A great chance for Stretford denied by Vincent made a terrific save & clearance to keep the goals down from a lofted shot. Again Stretford kept knocking and it took a brilliant last stitch tackle from Caleb to prevent a second goal for the visitors.
Beechfield did start to get it together moving the ball well as Stretford tired - Caleb fed by Freddie cut in to the middle of the pitch a scored a wonder goal placing it into the top left corner from distance.
Alfie, desperate to get into the action was in a goal scramble, his shot being deflected to James who finished to collect his hat trick.
Storm could’ve had a lot more - Imad turning creator played a fantastic ball through to Alfie who made a clever early run though had his shot saved, George fed a brilliant ball in to Imad who couldn’t get it under control & some of the better football played made its way to Freddy’s who’s shot inside the box saved.
In another close call for Alfie the ball again was spilled and gleefully finished by Imad. He joined the hat trick club with James with the last kick of the game - Storming down the left Imad powered it into the back of the net from the left of the goal.

Henry - voted by the players he was constantly running, magic dribbling skills and was the main creative force of the team today with some great crossing & passing.
Tough call as could have easily gone to James, Imad or Fred for the goals & performance.
