Continuing their run of fine form in the Manchester Football League were Beechfield United Reserve team who moved up to third place in the Division 5 table following a 5-2 victory over previously unbeaten outfit Bolton Lads and Girls Reserves.

At Salford Sports Village the match was played on the 3G Astroturf Pitch and there was a real scare for Beechy when they found themselves 2-0 down after only ten minutes. But two goals from leading marksman Callum Davies made it 2-2 before United stepped up a gear and Danny Lee, Ben Shiels and Hamza Hussein who was making his debut added further goals to complete the turnaround.
