Thunder claimed their first home win of the season in a very tough game against a spirited Moorside team, with the home team starting very positive with some great attacking play down the middle and Zac Vaughan releasing the ball to Aldo Gannon to score the first goal of the game, then straight from kick off Thunder won the ball straight back with some great defending and broke on the counter with Ronnie Green getting the first of his five goals in the game with Thunder putting constant pressure on the away side. The half time score was in favour of the home team. The second half Thunder made some changes with George Lawson playing up front and showing some great touches and was very unlucky not to get a goal as his shot just hit the post, with Jesse Fletcher stepping up in defence the team carried on to create chances and also some great saves from Raurie Brassington kept Moorside at bay, with the game closing Ronnie scored his fifth goal of the match and Aldo got his second to get an emphatic win for Thunder. Special mentions to our trophy winners today Zac, George and Jesse and a much improved performance from the whole team which will help us carry on for the rest of the season.
