Beechfield United Under 16's Storm suffered their first defeat of the season following their Division 1 home game with neighbours Moorside Rangers Blue who won the match 2-1. Beechy who were 2-0 down at half time fought back in the second half and what eventually proved to be their consolation goal scored by Tyler Davies reduced the arrears. Jake Noakes was Man of the Match.
The Under 14's Tornadoes dominated their Section E match with Bolton United and collected all three points via a 6-1 victory. In this Bolton Bury and District League fixture goal scorers for Beechy were Fernley Davies (Hat-Trick) Charlie Wallwork, Mathew Bennett and Ellis Kenny and voted Man of the Match was Jace Whale. There were also some excellent assists from Max O'Brien.
Despite playing the better football throughout their Division 1 fixture against Moston Tigers the Under 13's Storm were forced to settle for a 4-4 draw. Beechy who recovered from 4-2 down at one stage scored goals courtesy of Man of the Match Luke Carr (2) Jude Carswell and Sam Olyudi.
Beechy Under 13's Thunder continued their solid start to the season in a high scoring Division 2 home game against Manchester Maccabi Broughton. On target for the Thunder who hit double figures were Prince Idusuyi (5) Callum Snaith (2) Ishor Bajgai (2) Konstantin Hristova and Jacob Lacey. The Man of the Match Award was given to the whole team.
Max Chidgey netted the Under 13's Tornadoes only goal in their Salford and District League Division 2 match with top of the table team Barr Hill Aces. No Man of the Match Award was given out after the game.
Playing at home for the first time this season were the Under 12's Tornadoes (9v9) who's opponents were Flixton Junior Panthers. In a convincing 7-3 victory on target with the goals for Beechy were leading goal scorer Bradley Oliver, Jacob Sayburn, Theo Valentine, Harley Kirk and Charlie Mulvenna. Goalkeeper Lewis Wallis was the teams Star Player.
Still searching for their first win this season are United's Under 12's Storm (9v9) who have found it tough going in their last four games. The Storm's latest Division 1 fixture was away to Barr Hill Diamonds and in a heavy defeat Oliver Lawton fired home the teams consolation goal. Receiving the Best Player Award was Develle Wrigley.
There was a first victory of the campaign for Beechy Under 11's Lightning (9v9) in the Development Group Yellow Division. The match featured goals galore in a one-sided contest and United hit double figures via goals from Matthew Corry, David Olidoy, Josh Harrison, William Anderton, Robert Harris, Josh Harris and Zane Davies. Voted Man of the Match was Liam Peers.
Producing a good performance against Prestwich Tigers the Under 11's Typhoon (9v9) were rewarded with a comfortable win. In this Development Group Blue Division fixture Jamie Withington netted a brace, Harley Bentley continued his goal scoring vein and Ronan Mullen and Sam Henderson also got on the score sheet. Following another all action display Joseph Bothamley collected the Star Player Award.
Against a stubborn Old Trafford side the Under 11's Storm (9v9) went a goal down from a breakaway move but Beechy equalised via a counter-attack of their own when Caden Gibson scored after rounding the keeper. Then Harry Backhouse put the Storm ahead just before half time finishing well at the back post. Dominating the second half Beechy wasted numerous chances before adding two more goals the pick of them was a twenty yard lob over the keeper from Caden Gibson. Named Man of the Match was George Haywood.
Grace Belcher, Joshua Kilfoyle, Oliver Cowley, Saul Tagoe and Michael Walsh were on target for the Under 10's Storm in their Development Group Yellow Division away game with Ladybridge Lions. Man of the Match for Beechy who won the contest was Noah O'Connor.
In their Development Group Red Division home game against Bury Amateurs the Under 10's Tornadoes had most of the possession in the first half but were denied a goal due to three excellent saves from the visitors keeper. Bury Amateurs took a two goal lead until a fine move on the left flank ended with a goal by Owen Hogben that reduced the arrears. The second half produced a different game altogether as Bury Amateurs picked up the pace as tiredness crept into the Beechy ranks. Due to some slack defending by the Tornadoes this resulted in an easy win for the visitors. For some excellent ball winning tackles and general all-round play Aiden Lawton received the Man of the Match Award.
For the second successive Saturday the Under 9's Hurricanes met a Barr Hill outfit in the Development Group Yellow Division. Man of the Match Oliver Hall, Jace Whittaker and Nathan Derbyshire got the goals for Beechy who won away against Barr Hill Hearts.
Thanks to a brilliant team performance from defence to attack the Under 9's Tornadoes were fully deserved winners of their home game with Boothstown Falcons. Josh Rotherham was Man of the Match and goal scorers for the Tornadoes in the Development Group Blue Division were Henry Jones, Ethan Harris, Charlie Backhouse, Oliver Nangle and Charlie Beckett.
At Beech Farm United's Under 8's Tornadoes found the winning formula in their Development Group Blue Division match against Stretford Victoria Athletic. There were a couple of goals for Alfie Lacey and one each by Daire Cox and Jack McMinn as the Beechy boys celebrated a deserved victory.
Both the Under 8's Lightning and Under 8's Storm played their opening games this season in their respective Divisions. In their first every official fixture Beechy Lightning were away to a very good Stretford Victoria Athletic outfit. There was a great solo goal from Broadie Mundy and a fantastic performance by Man of the Match Kyle Tandy.
The Under 8's Storm were winners of their initial match in the Development Group Red Division. Local rivals Moorside Rangers Blues were United's opponents and Beechy won this away game by the odd goal in five. The goals came via Shay Winstanley, Ronnie Pinckney-Thompson and Man of the Match Harry Whitter who took on the role of goalkeeper in the second half and saved a penalty.
Creating another impressive and high scoring display in the Development Group Blue Division were the Under 7's Storm. In the match with Winton Wanderers Rhinos Ryden McHale, Player of the Match Connor O'Sullivan, Harry Wallis, Charlie Pugh and Callum Norris scored the goals.
