For the second time in three games the Under 16's Predators hit double figures and remain unbeaten in the Timperley and District Junior League. At home to Wythenshawe Amateurs Panthers the Predators scored five goals in each half of this Division 1 fixture. The goals came courtesy of Man of the Match Mitchell McGivern (4) Liam Egerton (3) Joseph Lydiate, Dylan Durose and Casey McLellan.
The Under 14's Tornadoes were away to Bolton Lads and Girls Club Blues for their most recent Section B fixture. Beechy dominated the opening quarter-hour and raced into a 3-0 lead following three superb goals. Jeanny Le Blanc opened the scoring then added the second goal but goal number three produced the highlight of the match. Keeper Derryn Harrison saved a penalty then casually rolled the ball out to Edward Stenton who quickly moved it onto Ben Grattix who with a sublime turn easily went past three opponents. Ben supplied a perfect twenty five yard pass into the area for Ademola Olasanya to fire the ball past the keeper. But in true Tornadoes style Beechy's brilliant start was soon forgotten when they conceded three goals. Quickly getting their act together the Tornadoes regained the lead via Leighton White then Jeanny Le Blanc completed his hat trick for 5-3. Bolton Lads briefly threatened a comeback but two headed goals by George Leigh and Jeanny Le Blanc put Beechy well on top. The home side did score two more goals but the Tornadoes secured an 8-5 victory after Joe Horrocks completed the scoring when he lobbed the ball into the net from outside the area. The Man of the Match Award was shared between Edward Stenton and Jacob Wilson.
In the Salford and District League the Under 12's Storm (9v9) made it a hat trick of Division 1 victories when they won 2-0 away against De La Salle Devils. The three points gained kept Beechy in second place in the table. Man of the Match was Adam Rothwell and on target with goals for the Storm were Samuel Oludoyi and Luke Carr.
Leading goalscorer Alan Kay netted twice and Ronan Courtney got the other goal for the Under 12's Tornadoes (9v9) who beat Stretford Victoria 3-2. Following this Division 3 game United's Man of the Match Award went to goalkeeper Callum Looby who produced an excellent display.
Beechy Under 12's Thunder (9v9) were without four squad players for their Division 2 home game with local rivals Moorside Rangers Red. Throughout the match Beechy struggled to get a foothold in the contest as Rangers slick passing constantly found gaps in United's defence. Rangers scored eight goals without reply and on the day Thunder's Best Players were Jake O'Sullivan and Louie Percival.
Involved in a Challenge Tournament fixture were the Under 11's Tornadoes (9v9) who met opponents AFC Monton Dynamos at Beech Farm. Beechy produced a solid display and were worthy winners of a match that included eleven goals. Man of the Match Charlie Mulvenna netted a hat trick and there was a goal apiece for Bradley Oliver, Adam Wood, Theo Valentine, Raphel Silveira plus an own goal.
Also in the Challenge Tournament the Under 11's Storm (9v9) made a decent start in the home game against Barr Hill Diamonds. Chances were on offer for Beechy to take the lead but they found themselves a goal down at the break. A similar pattern developed in the second half and United conceded three sloppy goals. Ben Delaney was voted Best Player.
Producing a hard working all-round performance were the Under 10's Storm who played Ladybridge Hurricanes at Beech Farm. The visitors scored two good goals and won this Challenge Tournament match but Beechy could easily have been celebrating victory. They were let down by some poor finishing plus the Ladybridge keeper produced an outstanding display. There were excellent performances from Sonny O'Brien, George Heywood and Man of the Match Harry Backhouse.
Man of the Match Daniel Hesketh opened the scoring for the Under 10's Typhoon against the run of play in a terrific cup game with Majic Sports. Daniel added a second goal for Beechy but Majic Sports pulled a goal back just before half time. Jamie Withington restored the Typhoon's two goal advantage but via a wonder goal from long range Majic Sports reduced the arrears again. Beechy created a host of chances in the latter stages as Majic Sports worked hard to find an equaliser.
Boothstown Clarets were the Under 10's Lightning opponents in the Challenge Tournament. Charlie Harris was on target with a consolation goal for Beechy. The whole team were nominated for the Man of the Match Award.
Away to neighbours Moorside Rangers Yellow the Under 9's Tornadoes played their part in a thrilling contest in the Challenge Tournament. Both teams created some excellent football and due the absence of a couple of players Anthony Brophy was Beechy's stand-in keeper. Two goals from Edward Hughes and a hat trick by Man of the Match Finley Fairhurst guaranteed the Tornadoes their first win of the season.
All three Under 8's teams had away games in the Challenge Tournament. Beechy Under 8's Hurricanes travelled to play Urmston Town Eagles and were rewarded with a fully deserved victory. United's goalscorers were Josh Whitehead, Daniel Robinson and Lloyd Hiles and receiving the Star Player Award was Nathan Derbyshire.
The in-form Under 8's Tornadoes were in action on Sunday morning against South Manchester Lions. Producing another first-class display United took their winning run to five games. Man of the Match Anthony Hughes, Josh Jemmett, Brandon Booth and Matthew Cox scored the goals.
Man of the Match Ellis Adamson and Kylan Twigg scored goals for the Under 8's Storm who's cup game at De La Salle ended with victory for the home team.
