In the Bolton Bury and District League the Under 13's Storm went 2-0 up in their Section A away game with Bridge FC Hawks. Two goals from Bobby Anderson put Beechy into a commanding position but following a couple of incorrect decisions by the referee Bridge Hawks scored twice and the match ended 2-2. Kai Morris was named as the Storm's Best Player.
At Ellesmere Park the Under 12's Thunder (9v9) got off to a really slow start in their Friendly Match against Deans Tigers and conceded three goals in the first fifteen minutes. Deans scored again before Beechy got a couple of goals back via Reiss Miller and Jacob Lacey. The Thunder boys overall performance improved in the second period and they looked better organised especially in defence. Prince Idusuyi netted a third goal for United but in the last ten minutes as play switched swiftly from end to end Beechy failed to take advantage of several great chances. Deans Tigers added three more goals and won the match.
The Under 12's Tornadoes (9v9) who also had no official league fixture arranged a Friendly Match with Winton Tigers. The game produced a total of eight goals and though Beechy lost the match they were still credited with a first-class display. The Tornadoes leading goalscorer Alan Kay increased his seasons goal tally to ten thanks to a hat trick.
Involved in the Challenge Tournament were the Under 11's Tornadoes (9v9) who were away to Winton JFC Blue. Producing a solid all-round display Beechy won the game and made it three wins on the trot. There was a second successive hat trick for Charlie Mulvenna while Adam Wood scored a fourth goal for the Tornadoes who were worthy winners. Man of the Match was Theo Valentine.
In their Challenge Tournament home game with local rivals Moorside Rangers Blue the Under 11's Storm (9v9) had a poor first half and were two goals down at the interval. The Storm's general play was much better after the break but they conceded three more goals. Cameron Booth was voted Man of the Match.
Producing a superb game of mini-soccer were the Under 10's Hurricanes and Bolton Lads Club Yellow. In this Dragons Division fixture the Hurricanes conceded the opening goal but recovered and drew level courtesy of an equaliser from Josh Clough. The match ended as a score draw and collecting United's Man of the Match Award was James Taylor.
Making a sluggish start to their Challenge Tournament away game at AFC Salford Juniors were Beechy Under 10's Storm who gifted their opponents two early goals. United played much better in the second half and were rewarded with a couple of goals scored by Caden Gibson and Freddie Jackson. Producing superb individual performances were Man of the Match Sonny O'Brien and Alfie Gee. AFC Salford Juniors got two more goals and won the contest.
Sam Henderson was named Man of the Match following the Under 11's Lightning's Challenge Tournament home game against Manchester Maccabi Wildcats. William Anderton and David Olidoy scored goals for Beechy but it Manchester Maccabi who won this game played on Sunday morning.
The Challenge Tournament match involving United's Under 9's Storm and Swinton Junior Lions was a real thriller. Oliver Cowley gave Beechy the lead in the fifth minute then Swinton Lions found an equaliser. On nineteen minutes a second goal by Oliver Cowley put the Storm back in front but the Lions were back level again before half time. Five minutes into the second half Michael Walsh restored the Storm's one goal advantage and United were ahead until the last few minutes when Swinton Lions equalised for the third time. After the match the teams were involved in a penalty shoot-out and the Beechy lads who took the spot-kicks were Saul Tagoe, Joshua Kilfoyle, Oliver Cowley, Edward Lucas and Michael Walsh.
Maintaining their recent run of good form were the Under 8's Hurricanes who were away to Winton JFC in the Challenge Tournament. Goals by Daniel Robinson, Joshua Whitehead and Lloyd Hiles secured the Hurricanes a fully deserved victory. The teams Best Player was Dylan Robinson.
Thanks to another very impressive all-round performance the Under 8's Tornadoes celebrated a high scoring away win over Urmston Town Eagles. Goalscorers for Beechy in this Challenge Tournament fixture were Man of the Match Harvey Riva, Ethan Harris and George Rowbotham.
Also in the Challenge Tournament the Under 8's Storm were in action away against Flixton Junior Lions. Producing a highly polished display Beechy secured a deserved win with goals from Kylan Twigg, Fletcher Jackson and Man of the Match Henry Jones.
There was a first win of the season for the Under 7's Storm following their Development Group Red home game with Moorside Rangers Blue. Straight from the kick off Beechy played some brilliant football and controlled the match from start to finish. Noah Thorndyke, Shay Winstanley and Frankie Carter who shared the Man of the Match Award with Oliver Markendale got the goals.
Under 7's Tornadoes goalkeeper Jack McMinn was in great form in the Development Group Yellow fixture against AFC Monton Cobras. Still searching for their victory in the Salford and District League the Tornadoes got scant reward for their hard work via a consolation goal scored by Stewart Kay.
