Following a 2-1 home win over Moorside Rangers Blues in the Bolton Bury and District League Beechfield United Under 17's Tornadoes regained top spot in the Section B table but Beechy did it the hard way against their bottom placed opponents. Moorside Rangers took the lead on twenty five minutes and despite creating lots of chances the Tornadoes struggled to find an equaliser. But Travis Walker became United's instant hero when he made it 1-1 in the 86th minute then scored Beechy's match winning goal with just thirty seconds remaining.
Involved in the Challenge Cup in the Salford and District League were the Under 16's Storm who met Flixton Junior Foxes away in the quarter-finals. Beechy hit top-form in the tie and moved smoothly into the semi-finals following a 7-2 victory. Man of the Match Aaron Gartley (Hat-Trick) Mike Waklatsi (2) Joe Cox and Calumn Lomax fired home the goals.
In their Players Cup game with Elton and Walshaw the Under 14's Tornadoes dominated for most of the match but after being forced to settle for a 3-3 draw at the end of normal time Beechy lost 4-3 following a penalty shoot-out. Against a team from two Divisions higher in the Bolton Bury and District League the Tornadoes produced a brilliant all-round display and the whole team shared the Man of the Match Award. Fernley Davies, Mathew Bennett and Max O'Brien with a world class overhead kick scored the goals.
The Under 12's Storm (9v9) celebrated their first win of the season when they beat neighbours Moorside Rangers Yellow in the Challenge Cup. In this 2nd Round tie Beechy held a two goal lead at half time. Ben Delaney, Jason Okili and Jake Manison got the goals for the Storm who's Star Player was Elliott McClurg-Taylor.
Stretching their unbeaten run to five games were Beechy Under 11's Storm (9v9) who played Barr Hill Aces away in the Development Group Red Division. Goals for Beechy came via Freddie Jackson (Hat-Trick) Josh McLoughlin, Caden Gibson and Reece James. This was another great performance by the Beechy boys with some sublime passing and every player having a superb game. Special mention to Alfie Gee and Freddie Jackson plus Caden Gibson and Josh Mcloughlin who were outstanding in midfield.
A determined and brave display by the Under 11's Typhoon (9v9) went unrewarded following their Development Group Blue Division match with De La Salle Devils. Freddie Latham and Man of the Match Joseph Bottamley produced some superb defending while upfront Beechy struggled to create chances.
Beechy Under 10's Storm entertained Monton Sports in the Development Group Yellow Division. It was the visitors to Beech Farm Playing Fields who won this 7v7 fixture. A goal from Oliver Cowley plus an own goal made up United's tally while Edward Lucas was named Man of the Match.
Daniel Robinson, Oliver Hall, Jaiesh Devani-White, Alfie Latham and Player of the Match Joshua Whitehead got the goals for the Under 9's Hurricanes in their latest Development Group Yellow Division fixture. The Hurricanes opponents for this home game were De La Salle Devils.
Against a very good Moorside Rangers Green outfit the Under 9's Tornadoes created a fine all-round performance. Rangers from a Division higher than Beechy won the match with the Tornadoes consolation goal coming from the teams Best Player Oliver Nangle.
In the Under 8's Development Group Blue Division the match between Beechy Lightning and Monton Sports was a closely fought affair. Beechy who lost by the odd goal in seven played really well throughout the contest. On target with the goals were Oliver Eckersley and Brodie Mundy plus there was a superb display from Kyle Tandy who's work rate was fantastic.
Rewarded with a clean sheet and goals galore were United's Under 8's Tornadoes who met Flixton Junior Wildcats in the Development Group Blue Division. There were five goals for Man of the Match Daire Cox, hat-tricks by Stewart Kay and Alfie Lacey plus a first goal of the season for George Wadeson.
Moorside Rangers Blue were the Under 7's Storm's opponents in the Development Group Blue Division when the teams met on the Astroturf Pitch at Beech Farm. Harry Wallis netted the only goal for Beechy who's players got the opportunity to play an official game on an artificial surface. Chosen as Man of the Match was Connor O'Sullivan.
Under 12's Tornadoes, Under 13's Storm, Under 15's Tornadoes had no fixture. The games featuring the Under 8's Storm, Under 10's Tornadoes, Under 13's Thunder were postponed.
