As they prepare for the 2022/2023 season a couple of Beechfield United Junior Teams were in pre-season action on Saturday 20th & 27th August 2022 with friendly matches against local opposition.

The Under 14's Hurricanes produced a good all-round display in the match with Barr Hill Hearts and thanks to goals by Henry Errington (3) Owen Hogben, Jamie Maher and Joshua Whitehead celebrated a 6-0 victory. Seven days later the Hurricanes met Deans Sports away and made several team changes due to players being unavailable. Beechy who held a 2-0 lead at half time managed to survive a strong fightback by their opponents before they secured a 3-2 win. Owen Hogben, Alfie Rostron and Finlay Unsworth got the all important goals.

Also in friendly match action were Beechy Under 16's Typhoon who warmed up for the new season against a Barr Hill outfit. The teams shared a 2-2 scoreline following a pretty even game with goals for Typhoon netted via Will Bentham and Reece James. Man of the Match was Ryan O'Sullivan with Sam Henderson second choice. Typhoon's final friendly was against neighbours Moorside Rangers Blue who won a scrappy game 2-1. Cole Winstanley delivered the perfect cross for Will Bentham to score Beechy's consolation goal and voted Typhoon's Best Player was Reece James.
