Playing their first official match in the Salford and Districts League were Beechfield United Football Club's new team the Under 8's Tornadoes.
In the Yellow Group Beechy were away to Stretford Victoria Albion and this game was played in totally the right spirit. According to a proud Tornadoes Manager Ryan Pugh all his players were brilliant throughout the game that ended with a Beechy victory. The goals were scored by Kai Barker and Harvey Pugh and named the Tornadoes Star Player was Leo Winnard.
Playing away against Astley and Tyldesley Tigers the Under 17's Tornadoes finished this Bolton Bury and District League Section C fixture with ten players due to an injury. Beechy who lost the game 5-2 had Billy Wadeson and Jacob Jeffrey on target with their two goals. Jacob shared the Man of the Match award with Mathew Bennett.
For their second North Bury Junior League Premiership Yellow Division fixture of the new season the Under 16's Storm were at home to Denton Youth, Three times Storm held the lead but each time the visitors responded and at the final whistle the teams shared a 3-3 score line. On target for Beechy were Man of the Match Dylan Roberts, Adam Rothwell and Archie Cooper.
At Brookhouse Playing Fields the Under 14's Lightning began their Division 2 season in the Salford and Districts League with a home game against Deans Panthers. The whole Beechy team contributed to a great performance that earn Lightning an emphatic victory. Sharing the goals were Cody Brady, David Oludoyi, Zane Davies, Daniel Williams, Cherif Badjie and Charlie Harris.
Under 14's Typhoon Team Manager Phil Hesketh was totally honest following his teams Division 1 away game at Stockport Dynamoes. Phil said his team were up against far superior opposition and despite a Man of the Match display from Ryan O'Sullivan the Beechy defence struggled throughout the contest.
At home to Fletcher Moss Colts the Under 12's Hurricanes only had eight players available for this Division 1 (9v9) fixture. The Beechy boys faced a tough sixty minutes at Beech Farm Playing Fields and lost the game. Hurricanes consolation goal was scored by Man of the Match Enzo Patrick.
Moving up from Mini-Soccer to 9v9 football were Beechy Under 11's Tornadoes who made the short journey for their Blue Group away game with Monton Sports. Both teams quickly settled down and played with a good rhythm and a well organised Tornadoes defence marshalled by George Wadeson kept Monton at bay. The Tornadoes created several good chances before they took the lead thanks to Oscar Mather who executed a terrific free kick. In the second half Beechy slightly lost their shape and a bit of energy but they kept working hard though Monton Sports eventually managed to find an equalising goal. Team Manager on the day Oscar Courtney thought the Tornadoes were the better team and were unlucky not to grab a match winning goal. Goalkeeper Jack Lee was named Tornadoes Man of the Match.
