In a full programme of fixtures there were several top-class team performances that produced winning results in the Salford and Districts Junior League and Manchester Youth Super League.

**Continuing their impressive start to the season were the Under 10's THUNDER who play all their games at a central venue in the Manchester Youth Super League. Shawside Juniors were Thunder's opponents and Beechy were winners of this Division fixture thanks to a solid all-round display. Sharing the goals were Harley Cosgrove-Newby, Henry Jones, Deo WaiWai, Sunny Philips, Edan McHugh and Mackeon Thomas-Browne.

**The Under 11's LIGHTNING (9v9) were also in action in the Manchester Youth Super League when they met Boundary Park Juniors and though Beechy lost the game the contest was much closer than the scoreline suggests. There were no goals in the opening fifteen minutes until Boundary Park were awarded a dubious penalty that gave Lightning's opponents the lead. Beechy were so unlucky to concede a second goal when the ball somehow flew into the top corner of the net following a corner. As they fought back Lightning reduced the arrears with a superb goal by Henry Dunne who fired a fantastic free kick high into the net. The game became more evenly balanced as Beechy pushed hard for and equaliser but they were caught out when Boundary Park added a third goal following a counter-attack and despite conceding a fourth goal the Beechy Boys didn't let their heads go down as they maintained a hard working performance. The second half went very much the same way and Lightning conceded a couple of gifted goal but Austin Fillingham raised the spirits scoring Beechy's second goal he controlled a fine pass from Man of the Match Michael Schofield. Despite the defeat there were loads of positives during the game for Lightning who are heading in the right direction.

**Celebrating their first win of the season in the Salford and Districts League were Beechy Under 9's THUNDER who were in action against Monton Sports Mavericks. In the Red Group Thunder got off to their now customary slow start on Saturday morning and found themselves two goals behind in the early minutes but Beechy settled down and turned the score around before half time. Thunder's first goal was a close range finish from Chase Sixsmith that was followed by Antonio Embalo who was on target after he pounced on a rebound for the equaliser. Beechy took the lead when Harrison Spencer sprinted through the Monton Sports defence to slide the ball home but Monton got back level seconds after the restart. What followed was Thunder's best spell of attacking football which yielded two more goals thanks to Harrison Spencer who netted his second goal from a free kick and Alfie Heighway who produced a powerful finish. Monton scored a late fourth goal but Beechy held out and secured a deserved victory. Tiffany Kanemiri was Thunder's Player of the Match for playing and excelling in various positions in her second game for the team.

**In the Bolton Bury and District League the Under 17's HURRICANES turned up for their Section B away game with Atherton Colls top of the table and in good form. Though Beechy played some good football they conceded the opening goal down following a corner and not long after the same corner routine resulted in the Hurricanes trailing 2-0. There was a slight change of formation by Beechy for the start of the second half and the Hurricanes were quickly back in the game. From a Oliver Sheridan corner Karo Ibodje bundled the ball into the net and the goal seemed to invigorate the Beechy players. Then Paul Connelly sent a pass to Karo who was positioned on the right wing and he played the ball across to Luke Kennedy who then moved it onto his right foot before firing it beyond the keeper for 2-2. Enoch joined in the main action as he gave the hosts left back a torrid timed running behind him like the defender had lead boots and setting up Luke Kennedy who gave the Hurricanes the lead. Hard running from Karo led to Enoch getting goal number four and to cap it all off a fifth Beechy goal via an Enoch header was reward for a terrific second half team display. Man of the Match was shared between Enoch for his continued improved play and Luke for his non-stop action. Result: Atherton 2 v Hurricanes 5.

**Following their Salford and Districts League Division 2 away game against Swinton Panthers the Under 15's TORNADOES suffered their first defeat of the season. Beechy Manager Oscar Courtney was honest when he said his team lost the physical battle and didn't take their chances during the game that they lost 2-0.

**Maintaining their unbeaten start to the season were Beechy Under 12's TORNADOES (9v9) who were away to Skills United. In a game that included five goals on target for the Tornadoes were Zack MacKinnon, who scored twice and Daniel Badewa. Goal assist's came via Luke Bennett, Lucio Riva and Tyler Ackernley.

**Also keeping their winning run going were the Under 10's STORM after the Red Group home game with Winton Wanderers Hornets. In this Beechy victory Seth Barber was top scorer with four goals, Oscar Pugh was on target twice and Bobby Lowe helped himself to a goal. There were assists for the goals from Bobby and Jacob foster who was Storm's Man of the Match.
