Following two successive defeats Beechfield United First Team re-discovered the winning formula thanks to a top-notch display that secured a 4-0 away win over Westbury Sports. Before kick-off the home teams pitch was cut up in places following an earlier junior game but this didn't cause too many problems for the players. A rare chance was on offer for the Westbury Sports No8 who hammered the ball in frustration well wide of the target. United made two more substitutions that saw Andrzej Browne and Kurtis Lee taking over from Carl Ravenscroft and Mike Phythian. Maintaining a constant flow of powerful attacks Beechy totally outplayed their opponents in the last twenty minutes with wing back Mike Rogerson given acres of room to make numerous surging runs down the right flank.
