Today's game saw Thunder take on a Winton side, with a determination to start the game well. Thunder started the game on the front foot creating a couple of chances early on, but straight after conceded their first goal some good goalkeeping saves kept Thunder in the game but Winton's pressure was relentless wave after wave attack and the boys found themselves four goals down, just before half time some great attacking play down the middle saw Gideon James great strike with his first goal for the club hit the back of the net to get Beechy back in the game at half time.
After the break the boys started to play some great one two passing and finding space and creating chances in the oppositions half with two chances just going wide but soon after conceding there fifth goal, again straight after this the whole team broke quickly, got a corner and took it quickly for Gideon to pounce on for his second goal of the game. With the result out of reach for Thunder yet again the boys started to play some attacking football with Winger Ronnie Green with a pin point pass to the middle of goal and the chance just going wide, then just before the full time whistle blew the whole team were involved in their last attack of the game with great passing from George Lawson, Jesse Fletcher and Zac Vaughan putting in the perfect cross for Aldo Gannon to pounce but for his strike to be saved with a great stop by the Winton goalkeeper, and also throughout the game Raurie Brassington made some great saves to deny the home team more goals, Special mentions to our trophy winners today Gideon James and Aldo Gannon.
