The visitors made a fast start and before Beechy could get a foothold in the game they found themselves 2-0 down. During a better period of play Storm reduced the arrears thanks to a goal from Harry Officer following a cross by Jack Downie. Due to some poor defending Beechy somehow conceded four more goals before half time and faced a mammoth task in the second period. Producing a terrific fightback Storm displayed real character and Sonny O'Brien was on target when he made it 6-2. A fine finish from inside the box by Jack Downie added Beechy's third goal and as the comeback continued a strong run by Max O'Brien was rewarded when he netted Storm's goal number four. The North Manchester defence was tested to the limit as Beechy added more pressure and Max O'Brien produced another neat finish as he made it 6-5. Storm pushed hard for a fully deserved equaliser but the visitors added their seventh goal to seal the victory following a free kick.
