**Against their very physical opponents Beechy refused to be intimidated and took the lead when Sam Everall set-up Jack Downie who fired the ball into the bottom corner of the net. Storm managed to hold their 1-0 lead at half time and they faced a tough second half as AWFC had a strong gusty wind in their favour. The hosts adopted the tactic of aiming the ball into the danger zone but Beechy defended solidy and managed to create some useful counter-attacks. At the end of one breakaway move Joe Melling was on target with a very good goal to put Storm 2-0 up. During a nervy late period in the game AWFC reduced the arrears but Beechy kept control and sealed the three points after Max O'Brien made it 3-1 when he beat the keeper at the second attempt.
