POSTED: February 28 2019 21:20:41. By Nathan Hawthorne - Cadishead red away (league)

We started with an attacking formation, playing just Leo and Liam in front of Woody. It took us a while to find our rhythm but once we did some of the football was great. Dan was having plenty of the ball and it was him who opened the scoring. David and Joel who had both come on after being late due to some crazy road diversions instantly linked up well. David ran down the line and after looking up found Joel who finished calmly in the bottom corner. David again found space and put another great ball in to the box where Robert was waiting to finish from 5 yards. In between David’s 2 assists Patrick went on a superb solo run picking the ball up at the halfway line taking on 2 or 3 players before being brought down in the box. Nailed on penalty and Patrick got up to take it. He hit it well but the keeper managed to get hold of it.. Unlucky but Patrick is going to create and score lots for this team. David then latched on to a poor goal kick to finish off the first half scoring. 4-0

Second half got off to a flyer, Robert raced down the wing then put a cross in which was turned in by a cadishead defender. David then smashed one across the keeper in to the far corner to make it 6. We were getting plenty of the ball and anything that got in our half was dealt with easily by Leo and Liam. Our 2 defenders were even getting forward a bit more and Leo went up for a free kick.. Dan put a superb ball in to the far post where Leo got on the end of it to finish. What a shame that he was just offside but I’m sure his first goal isn’t far off.... Zane was also enjoying the game and finding space in the middle, he was unlucky with a belting drive that rattled the crossbar.

Jake was on the pitch now after getting stuck in the mad traffic and he didn’t take long to make an impact. After being clean through and getting tackled by hole on the pitch he then got on the scoresheet with a quickfire hat-trick. Some good battling and a nice pass from josh gave him his first, then he finished off another excellent free kick from Dan. Joel pounced on a poor clearance from the keeper to get his 2nd before jake finished the job with his hat-trick.. Unfortunately Cadishead got a consolation with a good finish much to Woodys disapointment.. Final score 10-1
Some great football and goals, Dan putting some cracking balls in the area and David chipping in with a couple of assists and goals. Liam and Leo were both excellent at the back and tried to get forward when they could. Everyone played a part in this big win, and it was a nice relief after the last 2 games

Well done everyone
Final score 10-1
