Aspull 3 - 1 Typhoon

This was always going to be a tough test and you have to take your chances, so we could have done with Will managing to get an early goal. He was so unlucky, beating the keeper but having it cleared off the line and then having the rebound hit the bar. Aspull went ahead but Typhoon kept at it, Will put a cross/shot just wide and just beyond Daniel at the far post. Finally Will got his just deserts and equalised just before the break.
The Aspull manager read the riot act to his players and as the game went on they started to dominate the game, though we were always in it and looked dangerous on the break. Ultimately Aspull got a couple of goals and deserved their victory. All bar their left winger, all he deserved was a red card for being a pathetic, petulant baby. If a Typhoon player acts like him then he won’t be playing for a couple of weeks. He pushed Cole after miscontrolling, so no surprise when Cole pushed him back as they went for the ball. The ball went out for a corner and the child started pushing Cole in the chest. Well done to Cole who didn’t react and took himself away. Also well done to Ryan O and Peter for calming things down. Their child punched Ryan in the mouth and drew blood yet Ryan was man enough not to react. The referee was pretty good but for most of the match but bottled out of sending him off, though their manager whipped him straight off.
A poor end to a decent performance, Joseph was named MoM for a disciplined performance as the holding midfielder.
