Yet another game against opposition from Barr Hill, this time against the Aces side that had beaten the Hurricanes 6-3 in a home game just 4 weeks ago. However this was a cup fixture, played on a cold evening, under floodlights, on a 3G surface at Albert Park.

The Barr Hill team seemed to be brimming with confidence from the start of the game and took an early 2-0 lead thanks to some good, passing football. However the Hurricanes got back into the game mid-way though the first half after a crunching challenge from Daniel Robinson presented a chance to Oliver Hall, whose thumping strike from just over the half way line sailed into the top corner!

This sparked the Hurricanes into action and they soon levelled the tie through top-goalscorer Daniel Robinson, who fired home from close-range following a corner. The first-half turnaround seemed to be complete just minutes later as Oliver Hall hammered home his second goal of the evening from the edge of the box, and gave Beechfield the lead for the first time. Unfortunately there was just time for Barr Hill to score an equaliser on the counter-attack before the half-time whistle sounded, so the half ended all square at 3-3.

The second half saw Hurricanes re-take the lead almost immediately as Man of the Match Presley Smith rattled home his first goal of the season. Shortly afterwards, following a slick counter-attacking move, Daniel Robinson scored his second goal of the evening to take his tally into double-figures for the season. Oliver Hall then scored a great solo effort to complete his hat-trick and secure the victory for Beechfield. A late consolation goal for Barr Hill wasn't enough to deny the Hurricanes an impressive victory as the Beechy defence remained resolute to the end.

After the game, manager Ben Robinson (who was very hoarse from shouting instructions and encouragement throughout the match!) said "I think that could be our best performance yet. To be 2-0 down but come back to 3-3 by half time and then be the team to come out strongest in the second half is full credit to the players. They never gave up and kept going, we still need a lot of work but we're going in the right direction. Well done boys and congratulation to Presley for his first goal and Man of the Match!"

The Hurricanes squad for the match was: Oliver Dalton-Bunker, Dillan Caldwell, Jamie Maher, Sean Cosgrove, Oliver Hall, Joshua Whitehead, Daniel Robinson, Matthew Elliott, Jaiesh Devani-White, Presley Smith, Alfie Latham.
